A Message from the Dean

Students here thrive in a dynamic but close-knit learning and research environment. With a low student-to-faculty ratio, a cutting-edge research program, and a broadly stimulated intellectual environment at Vanderbilt, the school attracts excellent students and faculty from around the world.

These faculty and students share their expertise across multiple disciplines to address four specific research initiatives that characterize the School's commitment to help solve real-world challenges with worldwide impact. We have established an international reputation in health care, energy and the environment, information systems and defense and national security - areas of engineering that are focused but also draw from the wealth of scientific and medical expertise throughout Vanderbilt.
