Academic Advising for Engineering Students

A faculty adviser is appointed for each student, based  on the major you have chosen. If you have not chosen  a major upon entry, an adviser will be assigned to  assist you in making this choice during your first year. When you choose your major, your adviser will change to the corresponding adviser in the major you have chosen.

Advisers are assigned to you in early August.  All engineering students will meet with their advisers during the orientation program before classes begin.
