Graduate Record Examination (GRE) Scores - Code 1871

Important for the 2020-2021 admissions cycle: The School of Engineering is not requiring Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores for consideration for admission.

Scores on the GRE General Test are a part of the application to the Graduate School.  The department looks favorably at high verbal and quantitative scores at the 90th percentile or greater.  GRE scores are one of the many components of the overall admission decision.

Special Requirement for International Applicants: Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)

Applicants whose native language is not English and who have not received their education at an English-speaking university must submit scores on the TOEFL.  International students should have a TOEFL score of not less than 89 on the internet based test. For more information on the TOEFL, please visit http://www.ets.org/toefl.

Please use CODE 1871 for reporting your TOEFL score to Vanderbilt.
