Vanderbilt Engineering ASCEAs elements of a lifelong learning experience, many students choose to actively participate in numerous activities related to the profession, including: 

  • American Nuclear Society
  • American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE)
  • Chi Epsilon Civil Engineering Honor Society
  • Engineers Without Borders (EWOB)
  • Institute of Transportation Engineers
  • Students Promoting Environmental Awareness and Responsibility (SPEAR)
  • Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society
  • Vanderbilt Alternative Spring Break (ASB)
Through active participation, students can further develop managerial, organizational, and leadership skills while leading their organizations in such activities as concrete canoe competitions, representing Vanderbilt at professional conferences, staging an eco-friendly fashion show, building homes for Habitat for Humanity, or expanding their global educational experiences through the design and construction of a vocational school for a town in Africa.
