Dr. Bob Stammer Endowment for Student Development
Honoring "Doc Bob" Stammer
Celebrating 40+ years at Vanderbilt
Beloved Vanderbilt engineering professor Bob Stammer has retired. Doug Adams, Daniel F. Flowers professor, distinguished professor and chair of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering noted: "For over four decades, Doc Bob has had an enormous impact on generations of students and all of us in the department. We will miss his positive presence along the Featheringill hallway, but his legacy will continue to inspire us to deliver on our mission to provide world-class education and experience to each of our students just like he did!"
To commemorate Doc Bob's tenure at Vanderbilt as a faculty member and as a 1972 undergraduate alumnus, alumni and friends are establishing a named endowment in his honor. The Dr. Bob Stammer Endowment for Student Development will support immersion, research and professional development experiences for undergraduate students in civil enginering at the School of Engineering.
We are excited to announce that an anonymous donor has agreed to match all gifts made to the fund up to $150,000. We invite you to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to pay tribute to Doc Bob, all while doubling the impact of your gift.
