National Engineers Week

Founded by NSPE in 1951,  E-Week  (February 22-26, 2021) is dedicated to ensuring a diverse and well-educated future engineering workforce by increasing understanding of and interest in engineering and technology careers. E-Week events have a long, storied history in the engineering school. The schedule of events will be displayed below as they are confirmed.

Zoom In! Zoom Out! Join Us! Engineering students at Vanderbilt University will host a series of educational and fun events during National Engineers Week February 22-26. 
 
MONDAY, FEBRUARY 22
 
V-Squared Event: FGHeadshots
3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Come get a free headshot right before the upcoming Career Fair!
 
Alumni Networking Panel
6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. 
Register and submit questions  here.  Zoom link will be sent after registration.
Distinguished alumni panelists, Dr. Tamara Baynham, BE’93, Mr. Robert Amponsah, BE’06,
and Dr. Jessica Haley, PhD’15 & BE’10, will answer questions and present key information on the theme of Networking.

E-Council Celebration:
12:00 p.m.  to 2:00 p.m.
Come grab some food and VUSE gear at the tents to celebrate E-Week! (Event is subject to approval).
 
E-Council Game Night
6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (Subject to change)
A fun time to relax and get to know other engineers over Zoom.
“Are you smarter than a faculty member?”: Trivia night with faculty and students from the Vanderbilt School of Engineering.
 
WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 24

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 25
 
Metro Schools Outreach Community Engagement Event
8:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
VUSE Students Take Over A Science Class with MNPS (virtual meetings; central time)
 
Order of the Engineer
4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Students take ethics oath and receive Engineer's Ring.
Zoom link will be sent to participants.
