‘U.S. News’ posts 2020 graduate program rankings

U.S. News published its 2020 rankings today for graduate programs.

Vanderbilt’s School of Engineering ranked 39th. Its specialties are ranked as follows:

  • Biomedical, 22nd (tie)
  • Chemical, 36th (tie)
  • Mechanical 37th (tie)
  • Civil, 40th (tie)
  • Environmental, 48th (tie)
  • Electrical, 50th (tie)
  • Materials, 57th (tie)

Materials science rose 7 points; mechanical engineering rose 6 points in this year’s rankings.  Civil engineering and environmental engineering retained their spots at numbers 40 and 48.
