More than 100 faculty, post-docs, graduate and undergraduate students engaged in nanoscience and nanotechnology research at Vanderbilt and Fisk Universities attended the 12th annual forum on Nov. 9 at Buttrick Hall. Each year the Vanderbilt Institute of Nanoscale Science and Engineering sponsors a full-day of presentations, poster sessions and demonstrations to highlight nanotechnology research.
Keynote speaker, Joseph DeSimone, Chancellor’s Eminent Professor Chemistry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, also delivered a lecture titled “Co-opting Moore’s Law: Vaccines and Medicines Made from a Wafer”. This year’s 2011 poster competition winners were:
