Kimberly Bryant, BE’89, founder of Black Girls Code, a nonprofit focused on teaching girls 6 to 17 programming skills, has been recognized by Business Insider as one of the 26 most powerful female engineers in 2016. The magazine listed Bryant at No. 17.
Bryant was the keynote speaker for the School of Engineering’s E-Week in 2014.
Bryant was honored in 2013 as a Champion of Change by the White House for her work in tech inclusion and for her focus on bridging the digital divide for girls.
Bryant is an electrical engineering graduate whose career in pharmaceutical and biotech industries spans more than 20 years. She has held a management positions in various Fortune 100 companies, including Genentech, Merck and Pfizer.
