
Everette Fortner, BE’84, has been hired to lead the transformation of Vanderbilt’s Career Center as vice provost of career advancement and engagement. Fortner is motivated to elevate the Career Center and enhance personalized career engagement resources for students, alumni and employers.
Fortner earned a chemical engineering undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt and an MBA at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.
Fortner spent 20 years at the University of Virginia in strategic leadership, career, business development and teaching positions. He elevated their career center and designed innovative career development courses and high-impact experiential learning environments.
Before that he worked at top companies, including Kraft, Nabisco and Dun & Bradstreet.
