Shihong Lin has been named one of the most highly cited researchers in the world for 2022, according to an annual analysis conducted by Clarivate. Lin, who is an associate professor of civil and environmental engineering and chemical and biomolecular engineering, has published multiple influential studies on water treatment and desalination. Clarivate’s designation places Lin within the top 0.1% of researchers worldwide—1 in 1,000—whose work has been the most cited by scientific colleagues. Eleven other current Vanderbilt University and Vanderbilt University Medical Center faculty members were included in this year’s list.
